It Takes a Village
The phrase "If you want a village, you have to be a villager" is one that's been swirling around for me lately. This phrase is a modern take on the ancient African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child."
Wise Womxn Walkers: I asked, and so many of you have answered... The biggest reason you attended our first walk is:
You're looking for community.
Many of you showed up on your own with the hopes of making connections, and most of you left having done just that. Showing up to something like this takes vulnerability. And vulnerability is what it takes to build that village. I am so damn proud to be a part of this village we're building, and I can't wait to see where it takes us!
Some of you shared that you're looking for more support in getting conversations started and connections made. And I heard you! If this sounds like you, please meet us above Mon Petit Chéri (in the Lift Bridge Cowork space) and grab a "Speed Chat" sheet next to the treats—lovingly provided by this walk's sponsor Nordic Renewal Co.
If you're feeling the benefits of walking and talking with others and looking for more—I'm your gal. Kari is offering both Walk + Talk therapy and coaching sessions in Stillwater, St. Paul and Chisago City.
