11.4-11.10.2025: Six of Wands, High Priestess, Hierophant

At the end of the day, we all just want to feel that we’ve succeeded at something. That we’ve overcome life’s obstacles and come out on the other side victorious. This week’s Tarot Teachers advise us to turn inward in order to access the knowledge and enlightenment we seek.

We talk a lot about “inner knowing” around here. About listening to and honoring your intuition. But it’s not always easy to access that intuition, especially if you’re out of practice. Here at Wise Womxn Wellness, we believe that every woman has a “Wise Woman” within her. Sometimes she just needs a little coaxing, a little dusting off, a little uncovering… You are wiser than you know—AND: it can be hard to trust yourself and your own inner wisdom, especially if you—like so many of us—have learned to tamp down that inner voice. Living in a patriarchal society that values hard data over hunches and facts over feelings can do that to a person! We’ve been conditioned to turn down the volume on our intuition and call ourselves “crazy” or “hysterical” for feeling a certain way. But that inner voice is still in there… She’s still speaking to you, even if it’s just in a whisper at this point.

So often when it’s time to make a big decision, we turn outwards. We poll the audience. We crowd-source. We ask social media. We ask our mom or our sister or our friend or our pastor or our therapist. We ask every single possible person except the one person that will be most impacted by the decision: ourselves. While it’s important to have supportive people we can lean on, it’s also important to ask ourselves if our reliance on that support is contributing to the erosion of our confidence in our own inner knowing. What an insult to your wise, badass, resilient self to assume someone else always knows better than you!

What would happen if the next time you have a decision to make, instead of immediately turning outward, you paused and turned to yourself first?

If this sounds daunting, start small. You can begin to earn back your own trust in yourself by making seemingly insignificant choices and honoring the responses that come from your body. So often, our intuition shows up in our bodies. Ask yourself a question and see how your body responds. You might not “hear” the response in your mind, but your body holds so much wisdom and will always tell the truth. That’s why they call it a “gut feeling.” Your question might be something big like “should I take the job?” or something small like “which path should I take on my walk?” Either way: listen to the response from within. Notice the sensations that arise and where you feel them in your body. Now keep building on this practice.

Some of the beautiful outcomes that can result from reacquainting yourself with your inner knowing:

  • You start to understand what you do and do not want

  • It becomes easier to make decisions

  • It becomes easier to set boundaries

  • You begin to feel a sense of integrity (aka: your outsides match your insides)

  • You gain confidence in yourself and your ability to steer your life in the direction you want

  • You become the authority in your own life

  • You may even begin to feel equipped to help others tap into their own inner knowing

Accessing and trusting your inner knowing is not a task you complete, check off, and move on from. It’s not pass/fail, win/lose. The success is in the effort. It’s a constant journey—and one that we are all on together!
