Walk it off

I came across a post last week from Mark Hyman, M.D. that has stuck with me for days:

“You can walk off a bad mood faster than you can talk it out. Movement raises serotonin. Walking lowers cortisol. Your brain was built to solve problems at 3mph.”

Getting our bodies involved when our brains are unhappy does so much for our mental wellness. There’s a reason we find ourselves pacing when we’re having a stressful phone call, when we’re struggling to make a decision, when we’re overwhelmed with emotion, and countless other circumstances. If you’ve been cycling through the same patterns, looking for answers on how to move forward on a life decision, or are struggling with tough emotions and want to make some headway—reach out. I’d love to walk (+ talk) with you and help you make progress on your healing journey.

Let’s (walk +) talk.
