Being > Being ON
This week’s #hottip = go for a damn walk. Pretty profound, I know.
Our world has been extra heavy these past few weeks. If we slow down and tune in, my guess is we would hear our bodies begging us to disconnect from the news, our computers, our phones, and technology in general. I know mine is.
Walking is an excellent way to make that disconnection from the constant “being on,” to just BEING. Try leaving your phone at home. If you need to keep tabs on the time, wear a watch—and if it’s a smart one, put that shit on airplane mode. Whatever text messages, e-mails, calls, or notifications you’re missing can wait until you’re back. Allow this time to be for you. Allow this time to be replenishing. Pour back in to yourself. You give, give, give, all day. Don’t forget that you are worthy of your own time and energy and deserve to be cared for.
