Walking grows your brain

We all know that walking is good for us. Hitting that magical 10k steps has been a physical fitness goal we’ve been hearing about for quite some time now. While the physical benefits are well-known, I think the mental health benefits of walking could use a little more air time. I love shining a light on the ways walking impacts our brains and mental wellness. This week’s fun-fact… Did ya’ll know- Walking literally grows your brain?! It’s true. The simple act of walking encourages new neurons to develop. Not to mention the dopamine and serotonin boost that gets released into our systems and improves our mood.

Starting this Spring, Kari is offering Walk + Talk therapy sessions in Stillwater, St. Paul, and Chisago City. If you’ve been thinking about therapy, but can’t imagine spending one more hour inside than absolutely necessary when MN is finally coming into her best season…  I’ve gotchu. Sessions take place at beautiful parks, trails, and paths with indoor options as back-up. If this sounds like something you (or someone you know & care about) might be into—reach out! I’d love to (walk +) talk with you!

Let’s (walk +) talk.
