10.13-10.19.2026: Dynamic Balance

Pro tip: save this photo and set it as your background image to keep the collective message fresh in your mind all week.✨

Lately, I’ve had BALANCE on the brain—not only because I’ve been dealing with a little bout of stress-induced vertigo. 🙃😵‍💫

Balance is one of the major themes we explore during Libra Season. Oftentimes when we think about balance, we picture evenly balanced scales. After all, a set of balanced scales is the symbol of Libra and is also shown prominently in the Justice card, which is ruled by Libra. But the thing I like to share about when it comes to balance is that the type of balance we encourage around here doesn’t necessarily mean EVEN. Around here, we encourage working towards achieving DYNAMIC balance. Chelb of Phasecraft Magic beautifully wrote about this very concept when talking about the New Moon in Libra in their newsletter this week:

“Sometimes, creating balance is fully leaning in to what feels good and fully stepping away from what doesn't.

We have a tendency to take the idea of “balance” literally–as making sure everything is equal–but life isn't that straight forward. You won't find balance when you're giving just as much attention to the things that don't excite you (even if you have to do them) as you are to the things that truly light up your soul.

We are constantly rebalancing as we grow and change, and what you felt most drawn towards six months ago may now feel like it's weighing you down. Don't be afraid to adjust. Don't be afraid to change. Don't be afraid to lean into what fulfils you, rather than what drains you.”

Last week, I got the chance to see one of my podcast/Substack heroes, Kendra Adachi, speak live at an event. She calls herself The Lazy Genius and her whole thing is to help people “Be a genius about the things that matter (to you) and lazy about the things that don’t.” Talk about striking a dynamic balance! To sum it up, she’s like the big sis who gives you permission to live your life without “should-ing” all over yourself. That’s the kind of content I am here for. Chelb’s words remind me of the Lazy Genius mindset.

“Be a genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don’t.” ➝ “Don't be afraid to lean into what fulfills you, rather than what drains you.”

And so this week, I adapted our question for the Tarot from Chelb’s newsletter. In the spirit of being a Lazy Genius, I picked just one of the prompts from Chelb’s six-card spread. I asked the cards: How to initiate the shift towards a more dynamic balance?

And we received one of my favorite cards, The High Priestess (II).

The answer this week is short and sweet, my friends: Trust your intuition.

If something feels “off,” believe it. And then check in with yourself about where the imbalance lies. Identifying the issue is the first step—and chances are if you feel a misalignment, you probably already know in your heart of hearts what needs to shift.

Speaking of intuition, another person whose work I admire is Bronte Jagodzinski. She’s a great Instagram follow for fashion and I recently subscribed to her Substack, which dives deeper into other empowering topics as well. She recently wrote a helpful and practical article about how to tell the difference between Fear and Intuition. Give it a read! And drop a comment at the bottom of this blog post if you want me to share one of my one-month gift subscriptions with you so you can see her paid content (including weekly style challenges!) as well. :)

Programming note: I am leaving for a family trip to Maine early tomorrow morning (yay!). That being said, I may or may not share a collective reading next week (10/20). I will be packing my Tarot cards, of course—I don’t go anywhere without them!—and still plan to do individual one-card readings in our Instagram stories for Tarot Tuesday. Follow us on Instagram @wisewomxnwellness if you aren’t already! The question box opens every Monday morning.
